Nothing changes. Mental health services and the police let my son and his killer down badly in 2013. Care and MH professionals did nothing to treat the killer and the police literally walked away from a potential problem then their call handler encouraged the killer to take matters into his own hands, my son died minutes later. I've been under mental health services on and off for the past 9 years for anxiety, OCD and depression. I struggle with going out and being in busy places causes me to have panic attacks. Back then the support available was fairly limited. I had the choice of counselling, happy pills or CBT all of which was pretty useless although out of all the options I found CBT to be the most helpful.
