If you can't afford the time or money to adopt a dog, try volunteering to walk dogs at your local rescue. It will do the rescue a favour and get some lucky pooch out of the kennel they are stuck in 23 hrs a day waiting for a new home. Maslow's heirarchy: first u gotta have shelter, food, basic needs met. Where i live, if yer lucky enuf to have housing it's probable that pets are not allowed there. Adopting a dog is a privilege not afforded to many. Thanks BBC, but i'm sure every single one of my neighbors would have a dog (and other comforts) if they could AFFORD it. .
