2 years ago I hit crisis again and ended up being referred to mental health services. I've had to wait 2 years for an assessment only to be told that the only thing they could offer me now was another 6 weeks of rehabilitation which I did just 6 months ago and found it to be totally useless at which point they discharged me saying that there was no more they could do unless I was willing to pay for private therapy which I can't afford as I don't work so can't afford to pay for private healthcare so now I'm on my own. There's no point of another referral or going back to my GP as there's nothing they can offer me other than changing my medication again. I've tried every type of antidepressant going and none seem to work for me. Even if I was get another referral I'd have to wait another 2 years only to be told that the help I need isn't available on the NHS.
